Jochen Schneider named CEO Schmid Silicon Technology
Schmid Silicon Technology Holding GmbH today announced that Jochen Schneider will be named CEO of Schmid Silicon Technology Holding GmbH (SSTH) as of May 1st 2011.
He joins the company from LyondellBasell, one of the world's
largest plastics, chemical and refining companies, where he was Head of a speciality Business Unit for Europe, Asia and International.

Prior to that Schneider served as a divisional Vice President for the Polymer Business of LyondellBasell, where he was responsible for all aspects of a global business unit including strategic planning, business and sales management, marketing, application development, technical service and
innovation. Before joining SSTH he worked for 16 years for LyondellBasell and its predecessors, serving also as a commercial director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (2005-2007), as business manager for the NAFTA region, based in Lansing/USA (2002 – 2004) and he held several segment, project management, sales and technical positions across Europe (1995 – 2001).
Schneider received a Dipl.-Ing. degree in material science from The Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg in 1994. He completed the verified qualification “Process Coach” at the LGA Landesgewerbeanstalt Bayern in 2001.
