SNEC 2011 was a successful exhibition for SST

Signing a tunkey contract for a 3,000 t polysilicon fab successfully kicked off this year´s Shanghai based SNEC for Schmid Silicon Technology. Furthermore, a contract for strategic partnership was closed with Xinjiang Puxing, SST´s new Chinese customer.

Like last year, the Schmid booth turned out to be crowd puller and forum for discussion. The unique Schmid Pilot Plant, located in Saxony´s industrial park “Schwarze Pumpe”, will  shortly start polysilicon production, and therefore took the center stage of SST´s fair presence. The pilot plant was presented by brand new video clips showing the lastest stage of polysilicon production technology. Visitors, mainly decision makers in their companies, confirmed the worldwide demand for energy efficient polysilicon production, which sets SST apart from competitors.

SST has already started to develop concepts for realization of turnkey plants for its new partners.
